DURWOOD MANLY THOMPSON ~ (Veteran Armed Forces, Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #419 Port Perry) ~ Suddenly, at his home in Oshawa, on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at age 79. Durwood Thompson of Oshawa, beloved husband of 60 years to Rosemarie (nee Densham), formerly of Port Perry. Loving father of Rory Thompson of Bowmanville, Cindy and her husband Ken Ashton of Solina, Mark Thompson of North Nestleton, and Gary Thompson and his wife Sally of Oshawa. Loved grandfather of Tara, Tanya, Sandi, Kim, John, Jodi, Wesley, Jennifer, Luke, Brittany, Caitlin, and great grandfather of 13. Dear brother of Tom Thompson and his wife Anna Jean, Morley Thompson, Lloyd Thompson and his wife Cora, Nora and her husband Bob Goodberry, and predeceased by his sisters Emma, Edith, and Eileen. Brother-in-law of Fred and Hazel Densham, and Joyce and the late Frank Densham. The family of Durwood Thompson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, January 10th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 11th at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
