It's been jsut over two years and I can hear the sounds of your heart breaking as I know mine is. Ben and I knew each other for many years and have shared many good times and great memories (like his Prom). I'll never forget the way he laughed and always knew how to make you smile with his quick anticdotes and his quirky sense of humour. It didn't matter who you were, he always made you feel like you were the most important person in the world and if he loved you, he did it completely, honestly and without fear. He was one of my best friends and my only true regret is that I lost touch with him over the years, I've thought about calling many times but I guess I've lost my chance. There will always be a special place in my heart for you Ben, and your family. I love you still

My mother (Carol Simpson) just called me with the terrible news. I couldn't say a word, sat just and cried. I fondly remember playing on the swings with Benjamin in the backyard and Benjamin clapping his hands for Matthew as he took his first steps at our house. My mom was always happy to receive a Christmas card every year from you and seeing and hearing about the boys and what they were up to. We always talked about how cute Benjamin was...a handful at times but still very cute. Your family will be in our thoughts for and prayers. Nicole Richard (Simpson)

It is always a sad time when a soldier learns that a brother-in-arms has passed on, whether they be Regimental, or CF Wide, Family and friends are affected in various ways. I have known Ben for at least a decade, stemming back to our time as Army Cadets. Over the years, I have come to respect Ben, and held him in the highest regard, not only as an exceptional soldier, but more so, a very good friend. The Ontario Regiment, and the Canadian Forces, has lost one of their most exceptional, energetic and enthusiastic members that I had the pleasure of serving with. I came to value Ben's knowledge on many a subject, and enjoyed the conversations that we had over the years. Ben, you will be missed a great deal, my friend, not only by me, but also from our Regimental Brothers & sisters. Although you have left us in this life, I know you are still living your life after your passing. It is with heartfelt sorrow and a heavy heart that I, in addition to my wife Amy, and daughter Grace, extend our condolences to the Frith Family during this troubled time. Fidelis Et Paratus

The loss of Ben has affected us both immensely. Upon reflecting on his influence on both our lives, we discovered that he had a tremedous impact on us both. Our condolences go out to Ben's family and members of the Ontario Regiment. Anybody that knew the Ben the way we did, would experience the same absence as we do. On a brighter note, it gives us a chance to celebrate Ben's life, and his accomplishments. He served his country well. During his time in the Canadian Forces he readily volunteered for a peacekeeping mission to Bosnia-Herzcovenia. During our time at the Ontario Regiment, he was probobly the most influencial person that we met. He always had something funny to say and was always a great friend that you knew you could count on. Goodbye our dear friend, it is with tremendous sadness that we cannot see you off on your journey to the other side. Brian and Jenn Beaton

To the Frith famiy - please accept my deepest condolences and prayers at this time. The loss of Ben is a tragic one. I first met Ben when I had completed my basic training with the regiment - he was a person I looked up to (as do many others) for guidance and support. No matter what had happened that day, Ben was always able to make everyone smile and laugh. He will always be remembered as a good friend and an exceptional soldier. He will be truly missed by both of his families - his immediate and his regimental. A family has lost a loved one, others have lost a friend and the Ontario Regiment has lost an exceptional soldier, and more importantly, part of their family - a brother. Ben, may you rest in peace, we know you will be watching over us all. There are many memories you have left us all with and that will always keep you close in our hearts. "Jive Turkey"

How will we remember Benjamin? Will it be his smile, the twinkle in his eyes, his laugh, his attitude, his tattoss, his kilt? It will be all of those things but our fondest memory will be from this past Christmas at Granpas house. Benjamin and his cousin baby Jonathan were sitting on the couch together, their bellies full of turkey, not saying a word to each other, just happy to be together. They each had a look of content on their faces. We have never seen two cousins look so alike! We will always remember this moment and smile. Thank you Benjamin.
