Dear Eva and family - Maria's passing has left an emptiness in my heart. I so enjoyed our weekly visits....conversations in the garden about life in Poland, Palestine, Canada....her love and pride of her family......her quick wit (often at my expense) and very lively intellect. I smile just thinking about her....she touch my life and made it better.....I shall miss her.

A VERY SPECIAL LADY I will always cherish the time I spent with Maria as her caregiver and companion. In so many ways she enriched my life with her stories of the old country her love for her family and especially her grandson Nolan. The times we went to Little Poland for special treats, the long drives in the country that she loved so much. The visits with my family. Maria was such a loving and forgiving person and she was kind to children and animals. The last time I visited her she could not remember me and this made me very sad. I will always see her smiling face and her wounderful sense of humour. God Bless you Maria and I will see you again when I come home. love Dianne Oad Winder

My dearest Matthew family... Nolan...your Babcia loved you so much. How her eyes would beam when she spoke of your accomplishments!! Thank you for being so attentive to her, your love for her was something she cherished daily. Brent...you are the stellar son in law. Thank you for bringing Eva and Aunt Mary into Cambridge for every family event. For your patience, generosity and love for sharing your home with her so she could be close to her family. She lived her life with dignity and pride because of you. Eva...I wish I could take you by the hand and run to those swings in the park...hop on bikes and ride around the block...check out the cute boys in the apartment building next door...on those days we never thought of days like today. Your mom would always be there...arms wide open for a warm bosom hug...a word (or two or three) of wisdom...about boys, food or face cream...a smile that would light up the world! I will cherish her memory forever, as my Godmother, as my aunt, and now as my angel. Thank you for caring for her with such gentleness, kindness and love. I love you so much.
