My sincere condolences to Fraser's family. I was a student of his for a number of years and still have his hand written jot notes that were used to support my learning. I feel fortunate to have been a student of his and am grateful for the time we spent together.

I am so sorry to hear of Fraser’s passing. He was my son’s and ex-husband’s guitar teacher for a number of years. I was often the driver for my son to get to lessons and as such, also developed a relationship with the always smiling, always friendly Fraser. I was also blessed in that I had the opportunity to hear Fraser play on a few occasions. He was truly gifted and passed on his love of music to so many. My condolences to his family.

Fraser was my guitar teacher for over 15 years. During that time, Fraser not only taught me guitar but deepened my appreciation of music. I began to refer to him as my music teacher rather than my guitar teacher. Fraser, however, was more than a music teacher. His enthusiasm for his craft and his reinforcing style was inspirational and motivating and I often felt I was talking to fellow colleague whose interactions could only be viewed as therapeutic. He had unconditional positive regard for all of his students and had an uncanny way of bringing out the best in others. Comments like ‘music isn’t just about the notes it’s also about the spaces between the notes” has served as a metaphor which I have borrowed from Fraser and use regularly. Philosophical themes frequently were integrated into my lessons.
Fraser played at my daughter’s wedding and patiently coached me to perform a duet with him on that occasion. He quelled my anxiety and skillfully covered up my mistakes. Thanks Fraser our duet has become part of our family history.
Fraser’s final lesson for me was painful but important. Fraser messaged me this summer and asked if my fingertips had gone soft. Thanks to him my guitar playing had become an essential part of my life. In his reply, he informed me that his cancer had returned but was still teaching, feeling good and was keeping a positive attitude. He requested that I keep in touch. I intended to and worried about his condition. The lesson was not to procrastinate when it comes to letting someone know that they are love, appreciated and play a significant role in your life. Fraser played an important and significant role in my life and I have no doubt that he did so in the lives of those he met and taught. He has left a lasting and positive impact on my life and I promise to never let my fingertips get soft.
So sorry for your loss Linda

Sorry to hear of Fraser's passing he was taken way to soon but will live on through your memories.
My memories of Fraser are when we were younger playing golf, tennis & camping, he was known for his easy going personality
and distinctive laugh.
Fraser was a family man who was always there for his brother Gerald through the good & bad times and will be missed by all.

I am very sorry to hear of Fraser's passing. I went to school with Fraser and sat many a time listening to him play his guitar. God he could play. We drifted apart later in life like so many of us do. He was a good friend and a very kind man.
RIP Fraser

Our condolences to Frasier's family for their loss. Frazier was a wonderfully joyous person, with a sense of humour like no other and an infectious laugh. As our children's guitar teacher he was a regular part of our lives for many years and he taught us all more than music. His passion for music, and living a vibrant life filled his smiles and radiated from him to everyone around him. He will be with us every time we hear a beautiful piece of guitar music but will miss him dearly. May your memories provide you comfort in this difficult time.

Frasier has been my guitar teacher and friend for the past 17 years. He has taught me something new every week and I've always looked forward to our lessons. He had the best sense of humor and amazing people skills. He cared very much about his students and I will miss him but every time I pick up my guitar I will think of him.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this news. I have been trying to locate Fraser as we are having a Port Perry High School reunion for our grade(s) tomorrow! He was my classmate. We have a memorial board for those we have lost that will be displayed at our event and we will be sure to add him. He will be remembered by many tomorrow night. Our deepest condolences to the family.
