Obituary of Rita Lucienne Barr

Peacefully, on Monday May 27, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 85. Heaven bound to join her only love and husband the late Robert James Barr. She is survived by her loving son, Michel (Mike) Barr and family in Sudbury and her late brothers, Leo, Henrie and Valois (Val) Fortin. Fondly remembered by her friends and neighbours on Bigelow Street for her friendly smile and kind gestures of kindness. She was a force of nature to the end. We would like to express our appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry. We are so grateful for the excellent care and compassion during her final hours. In true Rita fashion, there will be no funeral service. Instead she leaves you with these words.

 

When I come to the end of the road,

And the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little – but not for long.

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that once we shared.

Miss me, but let me go.
