I will always remember Uncle Paul for his generosity in spirit as well as in kind. At family gatherings, I knew we could count on his warmth and dry wit for a giggle, or even more, showing a quiet mischievous streak. For example, he loved telling how, when wintering in Florida at a time when the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury shared his name, that he was able to get restaurant reservations when others could not. And who could forget the time he stunned us with a surprise gift in honour of our mother—a vat-sized bottle of Scotch that he had been saving for decades, waiting for the appropriate opportunity.
Paul above all was so proud of his children and their achievements. One did not have to ask to learn how everyone was doing. He also delighted in Aunt Ruth’s successes, especially besting men on the tennis courts.
We are so sorry that we are travelling outside the country and unable to attend the funeral service. Michael is especially disappointed not to show his respect, as he remembers Paul fondly from a different perspective, as a valued colleague at Canada Post who broke new ground for the corporation.
Our thoughts and love are with you.

Uncle Paul was an incredible family man who always went out of his way to help in any way he could. I was so fortunate when he 'saved' me from working a terrible summer job in a factory and got me an amazing office job with Canada Post. His strong work ethic and leadership was an inspiration to me. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him!
