Dear Barb
When we first worked together, I was often overwhelmed by the demands of teaching, and my stress was probably apparent to you. You probably never realized how much I appreciated your encouragement back then. I have clear memories of seeing you in a classroom and thinking that in a perfect world, all children should be so fortunate to spend one of their formative years with you as their teacher. Years later, as a grade 8 teacher, I had a running joke with kids that involved me asking them who their favourite teacher was. Of course, they knew they were supposed to insist that I was that person. But, joking aside, the name that came up more often than any other was yours. I was never surprised to hear it. Children remembered your kindness and generosity, as well as how you were able to make each individual child feel special when in your presence. Those were wise children. And their testament to the effect you had on their lives is a great legacy.

Dear Barb,
We have such fond memories of you and are truly sad to hear of your passing. We go back a long way...for Joe the early days at Lake Scugog and for you and I our high school days at Y.M.C.I. and that great holiday we spent in Cape Cod! We both share the warmest memories of you and our biggest regret is that we managed to slip out of touch. We'll always remember your joy for life and the warmth and laughter you shared with your friends and family. May the road rise to meet you...and may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Dear Barb,
"Do you know the wonder of walking into a room and having people happy because you are there?"
That is you, my wonderful, dear friend. Your joy, your love of life and family, your amazing support for friends and your welcoming and heartfelt smile are memories I will cherish forever. You are in my heart and you will not leave. The times we shared together brought me peace and happiness. You shared your patience, understanding and tolerance with all you met, and you made the sun shine brighter as it looked down to you. Your strength through adversity is a lesson for all.
"Unable to perceive the shape of you, I find you all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with your love; it humbles my heart for you are everywhere."
Thank you, so much for your friendship and love.

Dear Barb, How shocked & saddened I was when I was told of your passing. It is very hard to believe. I’m remembering the early days at Bayview Hill & what a truly wonderful person you were. You were an exceptional teacher & your young students were so fortunate to experience your encouragement, your support & your kindness in their formative years. You dressed beautifully & looked so lovely. You had a warm smile, a kind word or a cute story to share with the secretaries as you came through the office & we looked forward to seeing you. I was happy that we remained in touch after retirement & I always enjoyed, & will miss the funny emails you sent to your many friends. I was glad to be one of them. Farewell dear friend - you will be missed. Rest In Peace! Love Gloria xo

Aunt Barb
I want to light this candle in memory of your loving spirit. The loss of you has truly broken my heart. I wish I could of seen you one last time. I know you have moved on to a better place. I will cherish the memories of us at the cottage and following teddy down to see you. The countless conversations of when I was studying in Lindsey and when you would pick me up. But most of all I will miss the feeling of love and warmth when you gave me a hug and asked how I was. I can still here your voice. I am so grateful to have taken so many pictures. I will cherish these memories for ever and ever. My heart goes out to everyone who loved you especially Uncle Jim, Tricia, Meg, Jason, Steve and the kids along with Carol and Greg. Heaven is so lucky to have it’s angel back xo love always Lauren
