I want to send my condolences to the family. Your mom was a very kind woman, I enjoyed seeing her friendly face around Coe Hill. Thoughts are with you all as you grieve your loss.

I would not have gotten by Duke of Edinburgh award if it wasn't for Mrs. Turner. She believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. Although, we lost contact after receiving my award, I still have fond memories of our time together and all that she did for me and others like me. She will be missed, but she will remembered. My mother Anne Jones also sends her sympathies.

To the Turner Family,
Please accept the sympathies for your loss from my mother. Shirley was a special friend to my mother. Thank you for calling to let my mom know. Mom looked forward to her calls from Shirley. It was a rare friendship that extended into their 90s. My mom will miss her friend, Shirley.

'Lo Lo', 'Jan Jan' and families; I am blessed to have lived next door to Aunt Shirley and Uncle Roy for nearly 25 years. Fondest childhood memories include grade 3, when I had 'Aunt Mrs. Turner' for my teacher. Thoughts of the many hours spent together at "the cottage", in the greenhouse, with the hifi club, curling clan, as well as walking home at lunch each day for CCPS bring a smile to my heart - so many good times we haved shared.
I am grateful that Aunt Shirley inspired me (and so many others) to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award program. Aunt Shirley's countless hours teaching and volunteering touched so many lives and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
May fond memories of your mom help to bring some comfort to your heart at this time.
forever neighbours

I was so sad to hear about Shirley’s passing. She was a face I loved seeing yearly at her cottage since I was 7 years old. She was so kind and caring, both of which were evident through her encouragement and support going through the Duke of Edinburgh Award. All of us receiving our gold award together was a momentous event. She will be missed.
