Dearest Fred & family, I am deeply sorry for your loss of a loving, caring, genuine, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother & true friend to many. Sybil's face always lit up when she spoke of her cherished husband, daughters and granddaughters. Her smile was warm and infectious. Sybil was highly respected by her colleagues and every life she touched will be forever better. Sybil will be greatly missed by her "book club buddies". She always added insightful thoughts about the books we read. We enjoyed hearing about her many travels as she shared her photo memories with us. May you all be comforted by the many happy memories of a life well lived. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely with deepest sympathy, Jill Bates

Sybil and Fred and their family have been friends of my family for 45 years, and we have shared many happy times at our neighbouring cottages in Quebec. My family will all miss her dreadfully. It is difficult to imagine never again hearing Sybil's infectious laugh or her saying, "Oh, Fred" to her adored husband when he is off on one of his imaginative musings. Dearest Fred, Laura and Tracey and all the family, may your countless happy memories of a truly wonderful wife, mother and friend sustain you through these sorrowful days, and please know that your many friends are holding you close to their hearts. Love from Sandra & Family

It is with great sadness to hear of this very unfortunate news. My deepest sympathy to Fred and the entire family on the loss of a very special person. I have known Sybil since 2003 as we have worked together at RBC. I am sure all her friends and colleagues would agree that she was ultimate professional and team player. She made a significant contribution to RBC in her 30+ year career and her dedication and commitment to her friends, clients, colleagues and the community was truly unbelievable. Her passion for caring about people and making a difference in the lives of so many is a testament to just how special a person she was. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know Sybil as you will always be remembered in a very special way by everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

It was such a pleasure to have worked with Sybil, both in Toronto and more recently in Port Perry/Durham Business Banking. She was a mentor to me, a classy and professional individual. But more importantly, she spoke so highly and lovingly of her husband, daughters, son-in-law and her grandchildren. I always enjoyed hearing about her wonderful trips with her husband. My deepest sympathy, Dawn Hennessey
