Obituary of Jean Rose
JEAN MARY ROSE
Peacefully, on Friday, January 1, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, at age 81. Jean (nee Mitchell), beloved wife of the late Rev. Reginald Charles Rose. Loving mother of James Rose and his wife Janet, Anne and her husband Ian Ness, and Mary and her husband Stewart Wood. Proud nana of Vanessa and Kyra Rose, Sarah, Emma and Graeme Ness, and Jacquelyn and Patrick Wood. Dear sister of Ruth Anthony, Edna Mitchell, and sister-in-law of Jeanne Langille all of Halifax. Jean was born July 15, 1928 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and was a member of the Ontario College of Pharmacists and worked as a Pharmacist for many years in both Port Perry and Toronto. She took great pleasure in travelling, music, crosswords, rousing games of scrabble, and the many accomplishments of her grandchildren. The family of Jean Rose will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Wednesday, January 6th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 266 North Street in Port Perry, on Thursday, January 7th at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the Church Hall immediately following the service. Private interment St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Blackstock. Special thanks to the caring staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
