JAMES "JIM" ARTHUR BENTON B.A, B. Ed., M. Ed. ~ St. Francis Xavier University Alumni ~ Suddenly, at his home in King’s Bay, Seagrave, Jim went peacefully in his sleep, on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at age 63. Beloved husband of Coral (nee Shifrer). Dear brother of Kathleen "Ginger", and Patricia "Patti" and her husband Gerry, both of Boston, Mass. Loved son-in-law of Dr. A.G. Shifrer "Azu". Also missed by his brother-in-law(s) John and his wife Usha, Mark and his wife Jeanette, and sister-in-law Anne Marie and her husband Richard Morash. Will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, family, and friends. The family of Jim Benton will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Wednesday, December 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy 7A) in Port Perry, on Thursday, December 3rd at 11a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating.
