My deepest sympathy to Elaine's family and friends. I worked with Elaine at Compaq and HP. Found her a joy to work with, always pleasant and willing to assist. Elaine will be missed.

I worked with Elaine at Compaq and HP and she did indeed have a smile that brightened up the room. Her sense of humor was something else as well. We will all miss you Elaine, rest in peace.

Hey Girlfriend! The many memories we've shared! I never did any shopping at Costco until I met you....now I never let my membership expire (except for the time you and I signed up to try out the new SAMS CLUB but it was never the same as Costco). We spent many lunch hours at Costco. You knew all the people who were giving out free samples and always seemed to get us extra helpings! By the time we sat down for our usual shared Poutine, we were usually already stuffed from the free food samples. You were so funny when you wanted to buy pants or skirts. Didn't matter they didn't have a change room, you just put whatever you were thinking of buying either rite on top of your other pants or up your skirt! Got used to the funny looks after awhile. It always seemed that most of the stuff you bought you took back anyway and I finally understood it was more a way of ensuring you had to make ANOTHER trip back to Costco. You also introduced me to an exciting world out there of martini bars and free hotel lunches or dinners. Think one of the most exciting times we spent was at the FESTIVAL OF ICE at Nathans Philips Square. We had drinks in giant ice glasses and sat at tables and chairs made totally out of ice. We met Mayor David Miller and oohed and awed at the fireworks. What a blast....cold, but a blast! Anyway girlfriend, the world will be a different place without you and the many funny stories of your beloved cats, Bert, Ernie and Pookey. Your girlfriend, Sharon

Elaine, I am going to miss you so much. As I read through the messages that have been written they remind me of your humour, friendship and most of all the love you had for life. I could always count on you to make me smile when I was having a bad day and if I needed a treat, I knew that you had some hidden in your desk for me. My mom is still taking care of the bird that you gave her 3 years ago, it gives her great joy. Thank-you for being such a great friend. With all my love Natalie

I went to Bridlewood Public School, J.B. Tyrell and Sir John A. with Elaine. I was the only other diabetic all through our school years. It is with great sadness that I heard about Elaine's passing. I regret not getting in touch with her all the times I meant to. Rest in peace, Elaine.

My deepest sympanthy to Elaine's family, friends and her kitties. I worked with Elaine at Compaq and she was always a joker at heart with her teammates, but knew when to put her foot down for business - I remember she always had a "great big smile" when we were in person and she always made you want to smile as well even if it was bad news.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Elaine's passing. I knew Elaine for many years working with her at Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. We shared many laughs together and she was a friend to many people. I will miss her dearly.

Janice, Kenny and Richard, Your sister, mother and partner was one in a million. She loved her family, her son, her sister, her mother and her kitties. Elaine cherished all of you. She was a joy to work with. She had a way of always looking on the bright side of life. She really cared about the people she worked with and was always there to help out. I was blessed to have her in my life while she was at HP, she made sure I stopped and smelled the flowers and I thank her for that. I know she is happy and is with her beloved mum now. With deepest sympathy for your loss, Anne Collins

Elaine - I will always keep you close to my heart. You were a wonderful friend and we will meet again one day. Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. ~Richard Bach
