Iain, I was very sad to hear the news of Myra's death. Although I have not seen Myra in many years I have shared Christmas Cards and kept in touch that way. Her greetings were always welcome and she always sent happy and warm wishes to my family. I have many fond and funny memories of the New Years Evenings spent at Dave & Tracey's home enjoying cocktails and charades. The many days and evenings of laughter at The Emerson Cottage. I will remember her love for you, her friends and family, and her dogs. Although Myra is gone she will live on in our memories and will be remembered forever. My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Love Shelley

Ms. McLennan was a great influence in my life and one of the most supportive teachers I have ever had. I worked with her and Mrs. Cotter at the Resource Centre for many years and learned from them much of what I know today. Ms. McLennan always went out of her way to support student leadership and initiative at Sinclair and changed all of our lives for the better. I loved her very much and will miss her greatly.

Please accept our deepest condolences to the family, friends and coworkers of Myra. I was a student of Myra's at Brock High School and had the privilege of learning under her amazing teaching abilities. She inspired me and many others to become more environmentally aware. As a colleague of hers at Sinclair, her passion towards helping others and her vision of gender equity throughout the world was unmatched by anyone I have met. She was truly loved and respected by her students and teachers at Sinclair.

Copied and pasted from Malcolm, sent via e-mail to Rhoda from Malcolm (he is at Sea, and on Explorer of the Seas....) The sea consumes many things from men. Today it consumes my time away from family and friends. It is hard now for me to actually remember my last words with Myra. Likely occurred during her visit to BC for the delivery of my mothers ashes. Sad that only the passing of the living leads the living to remember each other. Guilty of that myself for sure. David Craig Kevin, love you and feel for you..we all will miss Myra My heart felt condolences to all the family, yes I will take the time to pray and remember while I am still on the sea.. Love you all.. Malcolm

Iain, Auntie Winn, David, Kevin, Craig: We are so truly sorry that you are grieving the loss of Myra. An unimaginable time for you and your family. Myra was a proud woman, the eldest of all of the MacLennan Cousin Clan, and she leaves behind memories of joy, smiles, and family unity. Please remember the good times and the gentle way she had of keeping everyone in sync, and making sure all were included. She was thoughtful and kind, and her legacy will be that of a caring Giver to all. Our families are forever intertwined, and there is strength among us. May your fond memories sustain you in this difficult time, and may you have some peace in knowing that you are loved and supported. Love, Rhoda and Larry xo

I was saddened and upset to hear of Mrs. MacLennan's passing away. She was an excellent librarian and teacher at Sinclair, and I will always remember and appreciate the help she gave me over my four years there. She was very committed to her students, and truly cared about their well being and success. I have not been at Sinclair for some time, but I will never forget how much time and effort she put into the organization of many of the student events around the school, which were appreciated by everyone. Sinclair will not be the same without Mrs. Maclennan, and the energy, care, and enthusiasm she put into her job will be greatly missed by all. My sympathies go out to her family and friends who have lost such a kind and wonderful person from their lives. Andrew Labaj

I have known Myra for many years and have had the pleasure of working (in a volunteer capacity) alongside her in the Resource Center at Sinclair Secondary School for years. She was creative, innovative, calm, cheerful, and an exceptional exemplar of teachers. My three children - Khalil, Nikki, and Jasmine - were profoundly enriched as students under her tutelage. We will miss Myra dearly, but she has left an indelible mark on Sinclair Secondary School. My sincere condolences to her family.
