Dear Esther, We are so sorry that you are having to go through such big trials in the past few months. It is good to know that George is out of pain and is home at last. Please call me anytime and I will return your call if you just need to talk to someone. Glen says he remembers playing with George's trucks. George told him this was a tow truck and Glen couldn't understand why it would be called a toe truck. George explained the difference to him. Glen would have been 5 and George 6. You are in our thoughts and prayers. With Our Love, Ken and Joy Ganger

Dear Esther & family, We were saddened to hear of the departure of your dear husband and father. Our prayers have been with you much during these last months. Don't forget, the difficulties here will only make heaven that much richer. We have many memories of both of you in the past. Our visits to your home in Vineland with your mother while we were pastoring there are pleasant to recall. Then I was honored to perform your wedding ceremony. It was my first one; the following years proved I must have done it alright! Marlyn has always claimed you as one of her close friends during school days and the years following. Lean hard on God; He will not fail you now. May His added presence help to fill the vacancy you feel. Thank you for your testimony over the years. God bless you and yours. Alan & Marlyn Crawford

Precious to my Canadian days are the memories of Friday nights; all week I had something to look forward to: spending time with my Sister and Brother-in-law at Port Perry. There would be a delicious home-cooked meal, a two-year old climbing the back of my chair to whisper "Doctor, I love you," and time for games. Small wonder that the hackles of "Doctor's" heart were warmed! (Do you remember that I was "Doctor"? for no known reason?) Not everything went smoothly. Remember when I got mixed up on where we were to meet, and ended up not getting to enjoy CN Tower with you? Remember practicing our piano duet? ( I don't recall now how that came out.) How often have I reentered your cosy home in memory to relive the good times. When I left Canada at the end of that year I did not know I would have to wait for the Heavenly Home to see George again.

Dear Esther, We are so sorry about your loss, and your own physical difficulties. Have thought of you soooooo often after you called me not to long back, and have been remembering you in our prayers. My hip surgery went well, but now on the 8th of Sept, I have to have both knees done. We don't always understand God's workings, but know along with you, He always knows best. I have thought often about calling you but was unsure how to return your call, but please know you have been thought of often and prayed for. May God give you the strength to face the coming days. Your old friend, as always. Twila

We remember so well our visit at your home the last time we were in Canada-2006. George had just come through his first bout with cancer and was doing better. It was my first trip to Port Perry. Steve has many memories of the years together in the Bathesda church. He often speaks of the time he prepared a full meal and had you folk, Harvey, & Bro & Sis Stevenson as guests. He never forgot how surprised you were that he had a complete meal! We always remember the night at Tollesboro when you folk arrived late and started into the cabin where we were sleeping. I remember yelling and yelling in fear trying to protect us from this intruder with no idea who it was! When Steve woke up, he recognised George's voice and called to him. I asked Steve, "How do you know that man's name?" I had not yet seen his face. I still remember the startled looks in your and Andy's faces! My, what a startling occasion to all 5 of us! Just so glad you got there. Steve feels the loss of George very much. There are so few left who were part of that church. We wish we could come. His green card has expired and it will take up to 3 mo or more to renew it. Plus I have to get a passport. Sorry not to be there to support. We think of Andy and weep for him. May God make everything up to all of you with His presence, glory and reassurance of his love and grace.
