I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to Thelma's family. I remember her as 'Mrs. Wright', my fifth grade teacher at Grandview Public School. One memory I have is that she used to take handwritten (on foolscap paper) poems, by her students, to the Blackstock Fair for judging and would quite often bring blue and red ribbons back to the classroom. I was very fortunate to be one of her students. She was also a first cousin to my late father, Leroy Hyland (son of Frank). I will remember her as being so kind and caring. Sincerely, Cathy Butson (nee Hyland)

Unfortunately unable to make the visitation or funeral (Cathie is in Vancouver visiting a failing Aunt), but our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Best wishes Peter & Cathie Kudla

To Thelma's friends and family, Please accept my condolences on learning of the death of your mother. I would have liked to have gotten home for the funeral but we had company from out of town on Sunday and I was home on Friday and had a nice visit with Murray and Diane and Andrea, Curtis and Alysia. I do not think I will be able to make the trip home on Monday. Please know that each one of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Thelma was a wonderful person, mother and neighbour. When I was at Peterborough Teacher's College 40 years ago and was doing some practice teaching at Grandview Thelma drove me to and from school at that time. When I know make that trip across 7A to visit Murray and Diane I often think of those conversations. Since Murray has married Diane and we have often seen many of you I feel like you are part of the family. God bless you all and I shall keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers over the next few weeks.
