Obituary of Ray Snooks

RAY SNOOKS ~ (62 year member IOOF Warriner Lodge Port Perry) Peacefully, after a short illness on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 85. Ray Snooks of Port Perry, beloved husband of Lois (nee Veale). Loved father of Shirley McInnis of Port Perry and Wendy Snooks of Port Perry and stepfather of Bonnie and her husband Vern Wright of Janetville, Jim Grieve and his wife Chris of Caesarea and Rick Grieve and his wife Diane of Blackstock. Loving grandfather of Scott Popert and his wife Cathy of Wawa and Dana McInnis-Nelson (deceased) and great grandfather of Sara, Jessica, Shelby, Cora and Hana. Dear brother of Marian Durward, Muriel Gibson and the late Harold Snooks. Ray will also be missed by the extended Grieve family. The family of Ray Snooks will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985 2171) on Friday, February 13th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 14th at 11 a.m. Interment Nestleton United Church Cemetery in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.
