When I first was introduced to Gerald as "the potential daughter in law" I realized how lucky I was to be entering a family of such warmth. It was touching to see how Emelda and Gerald had kept not only their marriage strong but also were obviously still very good friends. He always told stories of family, with a keen wit and heartfelt love. It gave me insight to where my husband Robert gets his character from. I am privileged to say that I was his daughter in law and I will miss him. `

why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, i don't know but what i do know is that your loved very much by myself and your other 12 grandchildren.Grandpa was such a kind, gentle soul. He would do anything to help someone in need no matter how much trouble he had to go through his goal was to make that person happy. i remember when i was 3 or 4 my sister and i would always stay overnight at grandma and grandpas house and the activities that we did were amazing it was like a new adventure everyday. Every night before bed Grandpa you would come in and read us a bedtime story a story that i will never forget is the story about this 7 year old girl who woke up everyday set a goal for herself and went on an adventure... and to me going to grandma and grandpas house was an adventure grandpa would do everything he possibly could to make life fun , exciting and new everyday, even the smallest things like changing the way we took to the park so we saw new different things everywhere we went.Grandpa, you will be missed so much everything about you will be in my heart and my head the memories will be like a movie going through my head everyday on rerun , you will never be forgotten R.I.P to a fallen legend <3 R.I.P. grandpa i love you so much

I always loved to hear him talk - he had that great voice and all those funny sayings - and his visits were always full of fun and laughter. I'll never forget him. It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of one of the biggest influences in my life, Gerald Jackson. Gerald took many of us young people in Port Perry under his mentoring wing whilst members of the Port Perry Rod & Gun Club, spending many hours with us in his basement, sharing his wisdom of firearms, and their safe useage. A common man, a good man, and a man who spread good will to everyone he met. Gerald, may you rest in peace, knowing that you were much loved and admired. Neil
