Obituary of George Wesley Thorne

GEORGE WESLEY THORNE Suddenly, on Friday, October 31, 2008 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, at age 68. George Thorne of Port Perry, beloved husband of Sandra (nee Sprung). Loved father of Deborah and her husband Gord Johnston of Lindsay and Jeffrey Thorne and his wife Dori of Clarksburg. Loving grandfather of Justin, Emily, Sarah, Melissa and David. Dear brother of Roger Thorne and Bonnie, Elaine Krug, Willard Thorne and Sharon, Helen (deceased) and Lealand Hill (deceased), Douglas Thorne, Lawrence Thorne and Brenda, Ann and John Ten Hoopen, Janet and Gary Spergal, Bryan Thorne (deceased) and Helen, and Bruce Thorne and Cathy. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of George Thorne will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, November 3rd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 4th at 11 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
