Former Councillor Township of Scugog - Ward 4, Former Owner of All Flags Shell, Nestleton, Retired from General Motors, Material Handler (30 years), Charter Member of the Blackstock District Lions Club, and BMW Motorcycle Enthusiast.
Peacefully, on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Bowmanville with Jan by his side, at age 54. Blair Martyn of Blackstock, beloved husband of Jan (nee Turner). Loved father of Tim Martyn & Hannah, and Brian Martyn. Loving son of Harold and Dora Martyn, and son-in-law of Shirley and the late Roy Turner. Dear brother of Ron Martyn and his wife Ellen, and Todd Martyn and his wife Kelly, and brother-in-law of Lorrie and Ron Minshall of Caledonia. Blair will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Luke & Keiko, Josh, Julia, Sara, and Ken. The family of Blair Martyn will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Thursday, August 14th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Friday, August 15th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Blackstock United Church on Saturday, August 16th at 11 a.m. Private interment Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock.
