Obituary of Richard Ernest Steer

RICHARD ERNEST "DICK" STEER (Served with Queen’s Own Rifles, R.C.A.F., Retired from General Motors, Oshawa) Peacefully after a short illness, on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Bowmanville, at age 87. Dick Steer of Uxbridge and formerly of Port Perry, dearly loved husband of the late Mina (nee Dobson). Loving father of John Steer and Margaret Steer. Dick is survived by his sister Rose Philip of Port Perry. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. The Family of Dick Steer will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, July 4th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 5th at 2 p.m. with Reverend John Staples officiating.
