Obituary of Gordon Metcalf

GORDON BRUCE METCALF Peacefully, on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the Cottage Hospital in Uxbridge, at age 84. Gordon Metcalf of Port Perry, husband of Audrey. Loved father of Cheryl and her husband Ross McMaster of Courtice, Douglas Metcalf and his wife Sherilyn of Bethany, and Elaine and her husband Bruce Fish of Regina. Loving grandfather of Steven McMaster and his wife Susan and their children Gregory and Melanie, Heather and her husband Chad Isherwood and their son Alex, Krista and her husband Martin Koolhaas and their children Lauren and Adam, Andrea and her husband Terry Hart and their son Matthew, Julie and her husband Christopher Haliburton and their children Tyler and Kailyn, Erin Metcalf, Lisa and her husband Chad Strinja and their children Ryann and Holden, Laura and her husband Chris Bucsis and their daughter Payton. Gordon was raised on a Bowmanville farm that is now part of Darlington Nuclear. After service in the Navy he married and bought a Nestleton farm in 1947 and remained there for over 30 years before retiring to Port Perry. The family of Gordon Metcalf will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985 2171) on Wednesday, April 9th from 2 �" 4 p. M. A Service to Celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, April 10th at 11 a. M. Interment Nestleton United Church Cemetery.
