Obituary of Robert Henry Martin

ROBERT HENRY (BOB) MARTIN Our wonderful Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa, Bob Martin, passed from this life to join his beloved wife Emma, on Friday, February, 29, 2008, at the age of 89. He leaves behind a devoted family; Nancy (Doug), David (Florence) and Cathy (Gord); his grandchildren Martin (Brenda), Mike (Melanie), Paul (Sandra), Janet, Peter, and Jacqueline (Jeremy), his great grandchildren Sarita, Nigel, Lucy and Allyanna. Bob was well known as a traditional handyman whose craftsmanship and skills were generously applied to helping a wide circle of family and friends in his community. He was a gentleman who was proud of his family and will be sorely missed by them and by those many people whose lives he has touched. The family wish to thank the staff at West Shore Residence and that of Aurora Resthaven for their attentive care and for their support of both Bob and his family. The family of Bob Martin will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, March 8th from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Private interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby in the Spring.
