One of the main reasons Howard and I bought the farm in Warkworth was because we liked Harold so much. When he showed us the garden he said 'the Wife likes the little onions'. Howard grows a good crop of garlic and onions. Strangely, many people call Howard, Harold by mistake. He does not always correct them because he rather likes it.
Harold and Verna used to visit us when we had Lionheart Bakery in Warkworth on there way to visit friends at Timmy's in Campbellford. We dropped what we were doing to have a visit which we always enjoyed. Harold and Verna are special people. We hold memories of him and think he would approve of what we do with the land. We talk of Verna in the kitchen fixing something yummy.
Harold was a special person.

I am sorry we found out so late about Harold's passing. We feel his presence around us in this house in Warkworth that he and Verna had to leave. I remember fondly our walk around the property before we purchased it. He was a kind man.
