My sincere condolences Maureen on the passing of your beloved Gordon. I know he will be sadly missed by you, and his kitty Oliver. Darryl and I only had the pleasure of meeting Gordon once, but his warmth and charming personality was evident. May you take some comfort in knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many at this difficult time.
Sincerely
Paula Copithorn

Our condolences with the passing of Gord. We remember him as a friendly neighbour. Gord doubled as our back up Port Perry Star delivery person and also volunteered to deliver the KBRA newsletter. Gord was always ready for a chat.
Thinking of you Maureen in this difficult time.

My deepest condolences for your loss Maureen. Just got this sad news today.
Gord was just a few months older than me, so this loss hits close my heart.
Wasn’t King’s Bay a nice place to spend these golden retirement years.
I still have memories of watching you and Gord briskly walking around the golf course before 7 AM on weekends.
It was nice seeing you two together sharing what King’s Bay had to offer.
As I have left the area for a new life in Montréal myself, I hope the course of your life can find a new happy path over the course of time for you too.
It takes time to surmount the grief and the loneliness such a loss causes but let me tell you that sunshiny days do come back in time.
I wish you strength and comfort in the day ahead.

Dear Maureen,
We were saddened to hear of Gordon’s passing last week and send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Both you and Gordon were a large part of our lives the seventeen years we lived at King’s Bay. We both moved there around the same time and loved the beauty and solitude that King’s Bay offered. Gordon was always willing to lend a hand in our garden, lovingly looked after Sheldon the cat on our many trips away, and touched us often with his kind and gentle nature. We know how deeply you will miss him and hope it brings you some comfort to know how special Gordon was to so many people.
Thinking of you today and in the difficult days to come.
Love,
Holly & Rob

Our deepest sympathies and support go out to Maureen and to all Gordon’s family & friends at this sad time.
Gordon was a kind and virtuous man who will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Everything Gordon Stead did was done with class and with a twinkle in his very blue eyes.
At his core, Gordon was an honest, hardworking, modest and loyal individual with a great sense of humour.
We saw this little poem by Thomas Love Peacock and thought it was appropriate for Gordon.
He kept at true good humour’s mark; the social flow of pleasure's tide:
He never made a brow look dark, nor caused a tear, but when he died.
May Gordon now rest in peace.
Maureen, we hope to see you in the not too distant future.
