Dorothy was one of my dearest friends. She was the kindest person who I have ever known. Our friendship began 23 years ago when she came to work with me at my school in the Scarborough Board of Education. I was indeed fortunate to have known her, and our friendship remained strong over the past 2 decades. She was the ultimate professional and a dedicated teacher. I don’t recall her ever saying an unkind word about anyone in all the years that I have known her. She loved her children so very much. Her eyes would always light up whenever she spoke of them as well as her grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humour. I will never forget her laugh or the sound of her heels as she would run down the halls of my school to greet me each day. We worked on many projects together. She was probably the most positive person that I have ever known. I can also say that Dorothy was probably also the bravest person that I have ever known. Recently, her faith in God became very strong. Dorothy knew with confidence where she was going, and where she is now. I will never forget you, my dear friend. I will miss you now, but I will see you again one day on the streets of gold in Heaven. Xox JoAnne

To the Famiky of Beloved Dorothy Morrow:
May you find strength as you lay to rest a dear loved one, and may you find comfort from those who cherished Dorothy and share their special moments with you.
Deb and I have known Dorothy for many years as a result of her dedicated work on the Durham Teachers' PD Committee; through our association with Dorothy's good friend, Jay Wolf, we had a grand and rewarding time planning and arranging workshops for Durham teachers; but what made it special was the dedication and thoughtfulness that Dorothy exhibited and the respect she continually demonstrated. Dorothy was always positive and professional. Moreover, Dorothy was valued for her wit, charm and abundant sense of humour and the kind ways she fostered teamwork and results. Jay, Deb, Dorothy and I shared lunch together about 3 years ago, after we all were retired, and she spoke of her family with such pride, commitment and energy. We hold Dorothy as an example for us all to cherish loved ones, friends, and to do whatever we can to make life better for others. Thank you, Dorothy and may God continue to hold you in the palm of his hand.
