To all the Bowden family. My sincere condolences to you all. I worked with Pat for many years at the Bruce Heavy Water Plant here in Ontario. We would always have great conversations about things in general for a few minutes and then we would have to talk about our work and what we had to do for that day. I always enjoyed our little talks before getting down to business. I am very sorry for your loss, Pat will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to the Bowden family on the passing of Patrick.
Pat will forever be remembered as a very fine person and a family man in every sense of the word. He was strong and compassionate, genuine, loyal and dedicated. He touched the lives of many and his legacy lives on both in the workplace and in the union office where I had the privilege of spending countless hours with him. He made a significant contribution to unionism and his hard work helped to pave the way for so many of the changes in the workplace that we now enjoy. He was my mentor and a very special friend and I will cherish the times we shared.
God bless ya brother, forever in my thoughts.
Rob.

I had the good fortune to work with Pat on one of the many volunteer organizations he became involved in after retiring. What an asset to any team with his keen insight, the unusual blend of brutal honesty with compassion, and quick wit. We became walking buddies and dear friends. I know how he grieved Terry, and then I saw the joy and delight he felt when he met Jenny
He was a proud father and grandfather. He was a true character and good man.
Pat will be greatly missed.

Sharon, Cheryl & Sarah and Families: I have many keen memories of your dad while he was a resident of Kincardine and from work as well. His whit and humor and keen sense of friendliness towards others, was always one of Pat's traits...always friendly and willing to assist others. He and your mother were always so kind and a popular pair while residents in Kincardine. I also had many years of dealing with them while at Miller Insurance. May all of you know that I am thinking of you all at this time.

Dear Jenny:
To you and your Family I send my love and deepest sympathy on the passing of Patrick.
You may not have been together as long as you wished but I am sure you have many precious memories.
Perhaps it is not the length of time we have with loved ones but the quality of that time.
Know that I am thinking of You.

In Memory of Patrick Boyden
I met Patrick several years ago when he was fortunate enough to meet his wife-to-be, my friend Jenny Yorgason. We all saw each other at Cinechats, the weekly international film program at UOIT/DC. Patrick and Jenny were regulars at those weekly film screenings – part of a congenial Port Perry contingent of some really lovely people. And though we mostly only saw each other there, they felt like our friends. And what a character Patrick was: You never had to ask him twice what he thought about a movie (or any other subject under discussion), because he’d already told you! He expressed his views with frankness and great humor and a twinkle in his eye. Patrick’s mischievous humor will be much missed, as will the warmth and hospitality to which fellow filmgoers were treated at get-togethers at Jenny and Patrick’s home – gatherings noted for the best potluck buffets ever! Patrick’s candor and his sense of humor touched us all: He made a lasting impression on those who met him. And that’s a legacy to which we all aspire. Farewell Patrick, it was a pleasure sharing your company. The Cinechats ‘family’ sends its condolences and best wishes to Jenny and the rest of Patrick’s loved ones.
