Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Thompson family ..,,Rosella was the sweetest, kindest most beautiful person we have ever known .... her beautiful smile would light up a room. She was gracious, she was loving and a woman of devout Faith... her Faith was her life ... when I chose to return to my Faith Rosella was by my side ... she was my inspiration...over the years we've celebrated so many of the Thompson kids' Birthdays, so many adult Birthdays, Christmas' and just funs times with all of the Thompson clan. Rosella was the first to reach out to anyone in need of support or prayers... I still have every letter and card that she sent me..... they are treasured. She was a wife, a mother... grandmother....great grandmother and a wonderful friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her . She was truly an Angel here on earth.... now God has another Angel by His side to watch over all who loved her....Rest in peace my beautiful Godmother .... your struggle here is over .... with love, Brian & Lauren

A Tribute to our Beautiful Grandmother Rosella posted a condolence

Everyone had their own special relationship with Rosella, our beautiful Grandmother. There have been so many memories and wonderful times with her. All who knew Rosella know how important family was to her. Keeping a close relationship with her loved ones, and letting them know in some way how much they meant to her, was what she did best. To help keep the spirit of today uplifting and positive, just as she was, we would like to share a few fond memories to help describe the wonderful person she was.
Grandma had such a big heart. We are all in agreement that it was the little things that made us feel so loved. She gave a beautifully written card and prayer to suite any occasion. Her supportive words cheered us on in good times, or lifted us up when we were down. Each would be lovingly addressed "To our beautiful Granddaughter..." or "Our darling grandson...”
We remember with a smile how she stood outside on her porch to wave good-bye until our cars were completely out of vision. Every time we saw her she was stunning. So lovely, with perfect shiny white hair, coordinating outfit, and earrings. But best of all was that bright smile across her face. She was often complimented on her amazing complexion and painted nails. We have a feeling the cost of skin care wasn’t shared with Grandpa ;).
Melissa remembers summer days, commuting to Scarborough with Dad for sleepovers at Grandma’s. Grandma always had something planned. Since she didn't drive, they took the city bus or Subway or walked hand in hand wherever they needed to go. Melissa feels so lucky to have shared so many experiences with her. She remembers Grandma saying that she loved outings with her own Grandmother and she hoped to share that with Melissa too. They visited family, went shopping, shared a movie, and even broadways shows. Everyone would say that they looked alike. They would both smile and say "We get that a lot". Melissa would also like to mention that before they went anywhere, the day started with church. Melissa would say "But Grandma, isn't it Wednesday?” They went any way.
Stephanie shared that on one of her visits with Grandma in the hospital, they had a good laugh when Grandma giggled and asked that she sneak her in a rye and ginger. Steph also happily remembers how
put together she was and Grandma saying that “if she was going to be in the hospital, she had to look good”.
Jennifer will fondly remember how much Grandma loved Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa came with a car full of gifts and every tag was signed "with all our love, Grandma and Grandpa xoxo". She also laughs thinking about her fiancé Ravi coming to his first family dinner and Grandma asking him if there was anything that he wanted to say or do before she said grace.
Jonathan remembers Grandma being the unfortunate target once when he was sick as a toddler... she always had patience and took such good care of us.
Kina will always appreciate how supportive she was. Grandma figured out the bus routes to make it all the way to Oshawa for haircuts when she was in hair school. Also, Grandma always had the perfect words to lift her spirits whenever she needed, since Grandma knew exactly what she was going through.
Alicia happily remembers how Grandma said “I love you” at least five times before hanging up the phone. She also admires her generosity, making her family happy is what made her happy.
Grandma and Grandpa barely missed an opportunity to watch Aaron’s hockey games. Grandma proudly wore a pin on her coat with Aaron’s picture on it all season long. As Aaron grew up, she often had to comment on his strength and muscles ;).
The way she was so welcoming puts a smile on our faces. She made everyone feel like family. We laugh especially thinking about her charm with our significant others. Visits could not end before she gave Jeremy a kiss, squeezed Ravi’s biceps, smelled Mark’s cologne and told Shaun he looked handsome.
We will cherish all of these memories, and so many more. We will miss you Grandma, but know you will be with us every day- our guardian angel.
“With all of our love xoxoxo”

Your Mom was a wonderful person. We will miss her great smile, cheerfulness and positive outlook on life. She is now with our Lord in a place so wonderful and peaceful that we can't even imagine how good it is. Now we pray that God may give you and all your family the strength and courage you need during the difficult days ahead. May God walk with you during this time. We are always here for you when needed.
