Obituary of Susan Jean Whalen

Susan Jean Whalen (nee Patton) November 11, 1943 – August 19, 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of a wonderful, dedicated and loving Mom, Susan Whalen (nee Patton) with family at her side on Friday, August 19th at the age of 72. Susan is survived by her loving daughters Tiffany Whalen and Lisa Byfield (nee Whalen), granddaughter Mckenna Byfield and brother Brian Patton (Kimberley Robertson), predeceased by her parents Howard and Ruby Patton (nee Montgomery). Susan devoted her life to her children and teaching and had a great love of animals, especially her dogs. Some of her fondest memories were time spent in Haliburton as a young woman, she loved travelling whether a country drive or a lengthy road trip. She always enjoyed nature and sitting outside in the sun reading a great book and being with her family. Mom, you will be in our hearts forever and always! We will miss you deeply! Susan’s life will be celebrated privately. Her family asks that you keep Susan in your thoughts and prayers.
