To James,Laura and their families
On behalf of the James family in Wales, we are truly sorry for your loss. Desmond was a wonderful man and even though we didn't get to see him often, he would always let Dad know how you all were and how proud he was of the two of you.

I had the privilege and the honor to work with Des Picton. He was a very bright engineer, helped the Whitby mill and myself tremendously.
Des was also a very caring leader and a pleasant person. He will be missed in Gerdau.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of Des. We had the pleasure of living across the street from Linda, Des, James and Laura for well over 15 years. Laura, Victoria and Kate played together and we shared many a Victoria Day lighting fireworks in one of our backyards. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My thoughts are with James and Laura along with Graeme and Arryanna and all of Des and Linda's family. I am blessed to have had Des as my second Dad growing up in Burlington. I have so many awesome memories spending time with Des just chatting... Best memories include my first trip to Darien Lake and Christmas wasn't Christmas until the musical lights were up in their house. Rest in peace Des...
