Dear Jean and Neill,
I am sorry to hear of the passing of Stuart. Many a youthful days were spent playing in the neighbourhood with all the kids ... no matter the denomination ;-) ... and time spent in the backyard and on the front porch of your family home on North Street.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jean, Neill & Family.
Love to you all. I will miss my calls with Stuart on his B-day / my anniversary. We both did enjoy a lively discussion. In the now distant past we usually disagreed, but in the last couple of years it was more agreement! What we did have was a solid respect for each other.
Good bye Stuart. I will remember you well...
Kind Regards,
Rob

My condolences to all of Stuart's family. I grew up with him in Fort Frances and he is part of what I remember. The clearest visual is his joy in singing, which he did with great gusto and you surely could hear him. The song that remains vividly is "On the Road To Mandalay", not some popular Hit Song of the day. Did I know then that he wanted to be an ordained minister? I think not. But as a teenager he was full of joy, easy to be with, and with a big smile. I am rather subdued thinking that I grew up with an ordained Presbyterian minister in a paper mill town in Northwestern Ontario. Bless you all.

Stuart O. McIntyre was a mature leader and great friend of so many of us at Knox College
in the early 1960's His earnest discipleship and hearty conviviality made him a treasure
for us up and comers. I can still hear his great laughter and quiet brilliant humour.
His was a foundational life and example for me and I give thanks to God for life and
witness. May the peace of Christ embrace his family, friends and colleagues.

For more that fifty years Stuart MacEntyre has offered the gift of a loyal and faithful friendship with care, understanding and much love to myself and each member of my family. It was a great honour to have known him and I am deeply aware of his leaving:he was an active and loving godfather to our children in a most loving and perceptive way. I cannot but think that such a man by his very life and love encouraged me in the lifelong struggle to faith in God. I will deeply miss him.

We were very sad to hear that Jean had lost her dearly loved husband, constant companion and friend. Seeing the two of them together gave great comfort in knowing that a strong marriage was still possible. Stuart's wit and deep knowledge of all things provided hours of entertainment to those who listened. He was a great friend to all who welcomed his kind spirit. He will be saddly missed by his dear chilldhood friend Raymond Jankey .
