Obituary of John Oliver Heffern

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of a great man, John Heffern, at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital March 27, 2016. Loving husband of 65 years to Teresa Mary Heffern (nee O'Neill). Son of Gordon and Ellen Heffern (both predeceased). Brother to Clifford Heffern (predeceased). Son-in-law of Stanley and Lillian O'Neill (both predeceased). Beloved father to Corrinne (Bruce), John Jr. (predeceased) (Nancy), Gordie (predeceased) (Bonnie), Rae-Ellen (Terry) (predeceased), Harvey, Bernie (Terri), Alex (Janice), and Lisa (Paul). Popa John will be missed by his 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. The Family of John Heffern will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, April 4th from 2 - 7 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 7 p.m. The family wishes to express their special thanks to the nursing staff at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
