As a young Lumber Salesman beginning my career back in the mid/late 80's I had the pleasure of doing Business with John when he was a Buyer at Lasco Steel in Whitby and sold them Industrial Lumber Products. He was a terrific man and I have thought of him often over the years. I was a young guy moving into the Oshawa Area from the Haliburton Area back in the mid 80's, greener than the grass and John was very good to me and I learned a great deal from him. Had only I known he was right in the Port Perry area ,I would have kept in touch with him . I only learned of his passing as I read the Clarington Paper this week and seen the Notice of his passing. My Condolences to his family.

The Morrison and Williamson families - We were neighbours and close friends over many years. I remember John, a young teenager, spending time with my Grandma Elva (Morrison), a teacher by profession, who shared literature and books including a 1921 version of the 'World Book Encyclopedia'(very few had the collection of books or the knowledge that she did). John was always eager to learn … a scholar. As children, we always looked up to John - older, wiser … and … he was always genuinely interested in each one of us. As we grew older, married with our own children, he kept track with that same interest. We just knew that he cared. We will miss him …
Ruth, we pray that God will give you strength and shower you with precious memories that will comfort you now and forever. Love Shirley & Murray
