Obituary of Norman Caswell
Of Port Perry, Ontario, died peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in his 92nd year. He would still be on the golf course if failing health hadn't interrupted his game in the past year. We will all miss his wonderful sense of humour and great conversations on world events. Sadly missed by his children: Kathleen (Lynn), Gordon (Lynn), Susan (Patrick), John (Sandra) and Sandra (John), 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Glenis Caswell and sons-in-law George Ben and Robert McLeod, and his loving and caring companion of many years, Carol Craine. He will be greeted with plenty of hoopla by those who went on ahead: our mother and his wife of nearly 40 years, Elaine (nee McKinstry, died 1989), the remarkable Anne Glidden who enjoyed life with dad for 13 years (d. 2003), sons Robert (d. 2007) and Doug (d. 2008), and daughters Mary Ben (d. 2000) and Judith McLeod (d. 2015), as well as his beautiful granddaughter, Sarah Ben (d. 2015). Also predeceased by his brothers Ray and Frank.
