I wish to express my sincerest of condolences to Harold's children, partner, family and community! This is a sad passing for many of us and I consider myself lucky to have worked with him and develop a relationship that was based on our great love and commitment to our First Nation communities, partners and allies.
I loved his quiet way of observance and speaking. His insightful perspectives encouraged me to stay on that good red road. Harold was always willing to offer his knowledge and expertise to those who sought him out and he always did it with great gentleness.
These are behaviours I hope to emulate in my work and will always hold this kind man in my prayers.
Safe journeys Harold as you make your way to your relatives on the other side. I am sure the feasts have begun and the welcome is beautiful!!
We will miss your gifts here but keep your memory alive in our hearts and minds!
Hugs and semaa for all those who share this passing with a heavy heart!
Baamaapii Gwaabmiin!
