Obituary of Douglas Hubert Franks

(Veteran WW II, 393 Battery, 99 Field Regiment Royal Artillery Second Division. Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #419, Port Perry, I.O.O.F. Warriner Lodge Port Perry) Peacefully, on Monday, March 30, 2015, at his daughters home in Cannington, at age 95. Doug Franks of Port Perry, beloved husband of the late Jenny (nee Hardy). Loving father of Christina and her husband Bob Olszewski of England, Gerrie of Cannington, and Denise of New Dundee. Loved granddad of Karl, Aniela, Paul and his wife Christin, Geoff and his wife Jasmine, Derek, and Curtis and great granddad of Kristian and Loki. Dear brother of Vera. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of Doug Franks will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, April 3rd from 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Doug Franks will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 4nd at 11 a.m. with Revered John Anderson officiating.
