VELMA CATHLEEN TERRY
Peacefully, on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 97. Velma (nee Purvis), beloved wife of the late Albert Terry (2006) and the late Angus Stainton (1972). Dearly loved mother of Wayne Stainton and his wife Daphen of Port Perry, Scott Stainton of Little Britain, and Reid Stainton and his wife Clare, Catherine and her husband David Ballingall, Bruce Stainton and his wife Gail, and Bryan Stainton and his wife Joan all of Port Perry and stepmother of Ivan Terry of Cannington, and Joyce and her husband Douglas Richardson of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of Ross, Vicki (Graham), Melanie, Annette (Gabriel), Tracy (Jason), Stacey (Andrea), Tara (Danny), Shannon, Brittany, Corey (Mia), Jordan, Joanne, Jennifer, and Carol and great grandmother of Dustin, Coty and Taylor, Teghan, Joseph, Rebecca, Spencer, Matthew and Melissa and she was predeceased by her grandson Kyle. Dear sister of the late Harvey Purvis. Velma will be missed by her nieces and nephews. The family of Velma Terry will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, March 8th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 9th at 11 a.m. Interment McNeil Cemetery, Wick in the Spring.
