Dear Jody & Jill: We are so sorry to read of Ed's passing. Your father was a great guy, and we had so many good times with him. His visit to us at our winter home in Florida, a few years ago, was enjoyable and a lot of fun - I am trying to find pictures of him with us, but I have a newer computer and cant seem to find older pictures. I wanted to send them to you. Ed shared many dinners with us and our friends, here in Mississauga, and we missed not seeing him much after he (and his beloved puppy dog), moved up to Parry Sound. Ed & I shared a love of music and theatre, and he and Brian enjoyed their political discussions!! Jody, I still have his box of books we discussed 2 summers ago and it would be great if we could connect again, so you can get them, particularly the ones he had of the Armstrong Clan, and his collection of Hockey Books. Please email me, or call - 905-274-5802. Our thoughts are with you. We enjoy our memories of times with Ed.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Ed's passing. He was a great influence on my life in several ways but most of all, he was great mentor. He will be missed.

I had the privilege working under Ed while with Carlisle. I will always remember him for his patience, sincerity, and kindness. He always encouraged me to be best I could be and to never lose faith in myself. When faced with adversity, I often ask myself what Ed would do in this situation. He was the best boss I ever had. I will miss him.

Hello Jill and Rob and your family.
Sorry to hear of the passing of your father Jill, at such a young age. I know he was having some difficulties before he moved from Parry Sound. All those troubles have now passed as he is now in the presence of the Lord. May God be with you in this time of mourning. Hold on to all the wonderful memories.
Love Ken & Dianne Potter,

We were saddened to read about Father's passing away, Jill. All of you have our deepest sympathy. I remember Ed at your home in Parry Sound when we were taking a Bible Study there. He was a very soft spoken man who contributed much to our discussions. He was not that old. How long had he been in the Nursing Home?
Hope that you are enjoying life in Port Perry. My Mother's family came out from England in the mid 1800's and settled in the Port Perry area. There is a large tombstone in the cemetery with Thompson on it. That was her family. We like living in Collingwood. It is near Bev's and my origins - Thornbury and Meaford. Bev is dealing with Parkinson's, diabetes, angina, and has had ca which is in remission now. Had a good report yesterday in Barrie. We are happy with our church family here - First Presbyterian. (very active church) Have good memories of Parry Sound.

Dear Jill, Rob and family,
So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I never had the privilege of meeting him, but I'm sure he was an amazing man. He lives on in you, Jill, in looks and musical giftedness. May God comfort you at this time of loss, as only He can. Grace and peace to you and your whole extended family. Love and prayers, Elizabeth and family
