Mrs. Jensen I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Jensen. He taught me many years ago at West Hill Collegiate. I have seen him over the years here in Port Perry but never stopped to talk to him because all through High School he called me by the wrong name so I was sure he certainly wouldn't have remembered me. He was a great teacher and a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Pat Kneale (Harding)

Dear Mrs. Jensen: Please except my deepest condolences on the passing of your husband! Mr. Jensen was my grade ten geography teacher at Port Perry High! I always thought of him as a military man, he was hard nose and strict! But, to tell you the truth he was the biggest teddy bear kinda guy! I was raise in Greenbank and live my high school years in Saintfield! Actually on Durham Road 6 or the 14th, like I call it! During my high school years, I worked for Linda and John Darby, I am still friends with them! Anyway, I will always remember the day he found out I was a farm girl, born and raised, how he did a whole 360 with me! He was always teasing about my love of goats, which I still raise! I was always seeing him at the Sunderland Co-op and he still liked drilling me on my farm and if I was still keeping fit by mucking! He had a great love for his pigs and we were always discussing mucking and fertilizing! LOL! He always made me laugh and he gave a good bear hug, even if he did smell a little like the barn! LOL! One more quick memory! On June 6, 1990! Exam review, which I missed a bunch due to talking my drivers test! I remember coming to class late with my permission note and the look on Mr. Jensen's face was to say, a little scary, to say the least! Anyway, he read the note, asked if my excuse was worth missing exam review! With my shaky voice I said "Yes Sir" and with a twinkle in his eyes and a devilish smile! He gave me the biggest bear hug and congratulated me and proceeded to announce it to the entire grade ten geography class, like a very proud father figure, I use to tease him about that, when I bumped into him occasionally! He was a wonderful gruff man and I am truly going to miss bumping into him at the Co-op, Brock Stop and the sales barn! He will be sorrily missed! With deepest sympathies! Sheila J. Clarke P.S: I am still farming and raising goats, just north of you, near Woodville! Thought that might bring a small chuckle! LOL!

We will never forget Ted. We just wish we could have known him longer. We remember all the fun we had on the St. Lawrence river Cruise when we first met you both. The good time we had at your house last June and in Ottawa. The lunch at the Art Gallery.

Dear Judy & family; I am desperately sad to hear of Mr. Jensens passing. Please allow me to tell you what a magical influence he was in my life. A teacher in the broadest sense of the word, a mentor, a provider of guidance, a humorist, a surrogate father and of course a coach. Our time together during my formative years was time that I will forever treasure. Mr. Jensen has an untold impact on me to this day and I wll forever be grateful that I was so fortunate to share so many good times with him. I can only hope that every young man has a Ted Jensen in their life to impact him the way that yours did mine. Our grief is a testament to our love. Yours truly Ken Shand With fondest regards from Vivienne Hall (nee Shand) and Violet Simms (nee Shand) (my sister and mother)

Dear Judy I just wanted to send you a note to tell you how sorry I am for your loss, and the loss of a wonderful friend, mentor and colleague. I remember the first few years I was teaching at Port Perry High School in the Phys. Ed Department with Ted. He was an absolutely wonderful teacher who taught me that it was OK to have high expectations for your students but to be sensitive as well. He was the tough military man who brought out the best in his students, his athletes and his colleagues using his outstanding personality and charisma He is a man I will never forget and will remember forever. Today when I went on the site I realized that Ted was born on the same day as my twins! I will forever think of Ted every year on that special day. In 1937 that day brought a very special man into this world and in 2003 a set of twins will forever share that day with that special man. My heart is with you today and through the times to come. To you and to Ted, "Cheers!" Love Debbie

Dear Mrs. Jensen, I just wanted to pass along my condolences on the passing of Ted ( not that he would have let me call him that, it was always Mr. Jensen :) I first met him when he was my Phys Ed. teacher at PPHS, I have to admit my first impression was that he was like a Drill Sergeant, and I figured we'd never get along, but I was wrong, it was just his teaching style, and it worked. Later, when he found out I lived in Seagrave he offered me some work in the summer, and I'll never forget ripping the old concrete floor out of the pig barn with a Jack Hammer :) I enjoyed talking to him over the years whenever I ran into him. He will be missed. Sincerely, Mark Jansen
