Obituary of Lorne Thomas Slute

LORNE THOMAS SLUTE ~ Peacefully, with his family by his side on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 86. Lorne Slute, dearly loved husband of Eileen (nee Sadler). Loved father of Sharane (Gary Dear), William (Deb), Brian (Deb) and Kenneth (Lorie). Loving grandfather of Adam and Ian Ross, Jeffrey, Corey, Allison, Gillian, Leedell, Kayla and Meaghan Slute and great grandfather of Kailyn, Kalei, Jaxson, Eli and Atticus. Beloved son of the late Albert and Evelyn Slute. Dear brother of Merlin (deceased) and his wife Emily, Leonard (deceased) and his wife Verna, Cecil (deceased) and his wife Doris, Lloyd and his wife Eileen and Doris (deceased 1938). Lorne will also be missed by his 16 nieces and nephews. The family of Lorne Slute will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985 2171) on Tuesday, March 8th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 9th at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
