My deepest sympathies for your loss. I went to school with Doug. the last time I spoke to him was in September when I needed help with homecare for my dad. Doug had the answers I needed. He was good man, super funny and always cheerful and optimistic. I'm glad we caught up with each other on Facebook. I will certainly miss his daily postings and witty sayings.

Doug was a wonderful, generous spirit. And so funny!! I have known Doug since he was about 12 or so. He moved in across the street from my family on Cadorna, and we hit it off immediately. Considering he was younger than me, that is something because at that age, a one year difference is huge. I will always remember him fondly. I only wish I had gotten together with him for coffee since reconnecting. He will live on in all who knew him.

We will miss Doug. We were always talking about ghost hunting and even went with him and his family to Madison House in Kincardine. We are still shocked by the news. I know he is with us and for those of who believe in spirits, might even see him around. Take care to Debbie and his children and his beloved pets. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dougie will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a good son, good husband and father, wonderful brother to Robbie and he loved his little nephew Jackson with everything he was. He loved his job, but he was more than his job, he was a good friend to all who had the good luck to know him. He was my nephew who I adored from birth and having just reconnected with him just over 2 yrs ago was always pleased to exchanged facebook notes and pictures with. He is off now with his beloved grandmother resting comfortably in her arms, likely needling granddad about his short temper and just enjoying the company of all his aunts and uncles who went on before him. You're with the angels now Dougie RIP and until we meet again God Speed. I love you and will miss you always.

Bob, Iris, Robbie, Debbie, Paula, Cara, DeAnndra grandkids and Nephew Jackson Doug will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Your loss is great and as the days go by I hope you will all be comforted by the outpouring of love for him. He was taken much too soon, but I choose to be comforted thinking the good Lord needed an angel and called Doug back to do something special and knowing Doug he is up there right now organizing reunion/get togethers. He has good company up there, by now he has hugged Gram and maybe fished with dad and golfed with Bev and Pat, and is getting to hang out with Mike. We'll all miss him, and Dougie till we meet again RIP and God speed. I love you! Auntie Pat
