Sorry to hear of you loss. I as a student of his back in the 70's at Langstaff. He was an inspiration to have as a teacher. He helped me get through my final year as I needed one credit.
I was hearing updated from Betty who worked at CSA, "Canadian Standards Association. I have been here 43 years, and just found out Betty has passed last week too.
Gerry, you will be missed. RIP.

Our deepest sympathy to the family on Jerry's passing. We both worked with Jerry for a number of years at The Dominion of Canada General Ins. Co. back in the sixties. He was a very talented EDP Manager and gave me (John) my start in that industry. While we lost track of him over the years, we still remember him fondly from the 'good old days'

We will surely miss Jerry or "Uncle Jerry" to us for so many years when we were kids growing up. We will miss the phone calls to check up and see how we are doing and what the news is. I can only hope that he is now in a better place and perhaps reunited with Ken and Leone, Lil and Frank, Alice and Glenn. Our thoughts and prayers are with Delaine, Ken and Kathy and your families. Lots of memories of Scugog, Florida and family picnics in Niagara.

Jerry was my second cousin. He and his aunt Winnie met me at the Toronto Union Station when I arrived in November 1953 as an immigrant from England. I got a job in Hamilton, but spent many weekends with him and the family in Toronto and at the cottage on Lake Scugog. We saw each other less frequently after our respective marriages and my own move to Pennsylvania. I remember especially meeting him in England in 1994 to explore our common Tomlinson ancestry in Derbyshire and Yorkshire. I am glad that I was able to get to Oshawa on June 24 to visit him in the hospital and to St. Christopher and see Delaine.
