Modern Ways To Memorialize A Loved One

If a loved one passes, it can become quite challenging to deal with the grief and the sense of loss that envelops you.  There are many different ways in which you can keep your loved one's memory alive. However, it is a good idea to find some new ways to memorialize a loved one.  We at Wagg Funeral Home feel that doing something unique and different in the memory of the person can help you heal faster.  Here are some things you can consider:

  • You have the option to install some outdoor furniture or a memorial bench in a local park.  However, you would have to get a permit from the local authorities.  You can also create a small calm space in your yard by installing a memorial bench.

  • Many people now find the idea of a living memorial more attractive than standard options. You can install a flowering or fruiting tree, and as the tree grows in your yard, it will continue to remind you of your loved one.

  • Memorial jewellery is another option to consider.  If you have opted for cremation, once you get the ashes of your family member, you can get them incorporated into lockets, rings or pendants, etc. Alternatively, you can also purchase some simple jewellery and get your loved one's name inscribed on it.

These are some unique ways in which you can memorialize your loved one. Discuss these ideas with other family members and get their inputs as well so that they too can share what they feel. There are no hard and fast rules about what you should do in the memory of someone close to you. Do something that gives you some solace.
