What To Discuss During the Funeral Arrangement Meeting
Tuesday, July 24, 2018
Arranging a funeral can be a difficult task. At Wagg Funeral Home, it is our goal to provide you with simple solutions to make this difficult time as stress-free as possible. Here are a few pointers to keep in mind while arranging a funeral:
- Different Options: There are many tough decisions you have to take while arranging a funeral. In such cases, decide whether the deceased wanted to be buried or cremated. Did he/she pre-plan a funeral? Or were they a part of a community that can influence the service. A funeral director can help you make the right decisions during this process.
- Decide Who Will Make Decisions: Many responsibilities lie in the hands of a decision maker. The person is responsible for signing documents, settling the estate etc. In many instances, an executor is named before death or the responsibility can fall into the hands of the legal kin. Being an executor is not an easy task and it is necessary to know what is expected of you.
- Break Down The Costs: Funeral costs add up very quickly and it is best for you to decide on a budget. You could ask the funeral director to break down the costs. Do not hesitate to ask any questions as you have the right to know where your money is going. This allows you to trim the additional expenditures and save some money where possible.
- Things To Select: It is a good idea to compile a list of things that you want, before arranging the meeting. For example, things such as music, reception plans, flowers, photographs etc. This will save you time and will also ensure that nothing is forgotten.
