The cost savings over a conventional funeral and burial are a significant perk of using Wagg Funeral Home. Either the family does not have the means to pay for a more elaborate funeral, or the deceased person does not want to see their assets used this way. Whatever the case, there is no denying that cremations are on the rise and now makeup roughly 60% of all funerals in the United States. It is a pleasant surprise to many individuals to discover that even an affordable cremation can include a wide range of desirable extras and services.

Services Included In An Affordable Cremation

Let's examine what is provided as part of an affordable cremation service:

1. Transport To The Crematorium

If the family desires direct cremation, the funeral home is responsible for arranging transportation of the body from the place of death (home or hospital) to the crematorium. You could incur additional expenses if you wish to hold a complete funeral service before cremation. Embalming may be necessary to preserve the body for a full service.

2. Paperwork

The funeral home will take care of the essential legal formalities, such as obtaining cremation permits, death certificates, and other required paperwork. Once they receive official permission to proceed, they will begin the process.

3. Taking Care Of The Body

The funeral home will prepare the body for cremation by washing and dressing the remains. To ensure that nothing will get in the way of the procedure, doctors will remove any aids and accoutrements, such as hearing aids, from the body. It is common practice to cremate a body after placing it in a casket or cardboard box.

4. Cremation

The cremation will occur after the funeral home has prepared the body and completed all necessary paperwork. After a few hours, the ashes are ready to be collected by the family.

5. Ashes And Urns

Following cremation, the ashes are collected and reduced to ash by the staff. An urn is used to store the ashes, then they are presented to the family. They can be scattered, buried, or placed inside your house.

Many choose cremation with affordability because it is considered more environmentally friendly than traditional burials.

We at Wagg Funeral Home are available any day of the week to plan an affordable cremation. You can contact us, and we will contact you soon.
