When a loved one passes away, you will want to give them a fitting tribute and there are many ways to do this. If you want the memorial service to be truly memorable, here are some ideas from the experts at Wagg Funeral Home.

Some Memorial Tribute Ideas

Every aspect of a funeral service can be an opportunity to honor your loved one. Consider the things you’d like to do and see how to fit them into a broader whole that will be the perfect homage to the person.

  • Announcements - Announcing a loved one’s death is never easy. However, this is one of the first things to do to honor the deceased. You must contact close relatives as well as friends and inform them about the demise. You can then mail the announcement to distant relatives and acquaintances. Create an announcement that you will be posting in obituaries in local newspapers so that everyone concerned knows where you will be holding the funeral service.

  • Flower Arrangements - You can show your respect by organizing for lovely floral arrangements and pick one that has flowers the deceased person liked.

  • Songs - Music always has a special place during a funeral service and you can play songs appropriate for that setting. If you want to add a more personalized touch to the service, you can also ask a family member or friend to sing a song or play an instrument.

Poems and eulogies are other ways to pay tribute and you can personalize them as much as possible. Someone that knew the decedent well should always deliver eulogies and you can request them to add a few personal memories that others can also relate to. If you want to know about our funeral or memorial services, don't hesitate to contact us at Wagg Funeral Home today and we'll be happy to help.
